July 30, 2026. Reviews Adjustments in UAT for Blues: Please Hold Off on Formal Testing
Blues affiliates may notice temporary changes to the Reviews experience in UAT as we continue building support for hospital quality data (HQM and HCAHPS) within the Quality Measures and Reviews sections on profile pages.
What's happening:
Quality Measures expansion: In Q3, we're adding support for Hospital Quality Measures (HQM) and HCAHPS Patient Experience data. Together, these will give members a fuller picture of hospital quality, pairing clinical safety and quality benchmarks with real patient feedback on communication, cleanliness, and overall experience.
Temporary Reviews changes: As part of this work, you may see temporary changes to the existing Reviews display in UAT. This is expected and reflects active development, not a finished experience.
Hold off on testing: These changes are still in progress. Please wait for our confirmation before beginning formal testing or validation.
We covered this work in detail at the July Health Plan Roundtable. If you missed it or want a refresher, you can watch the recording here.
We'll send a follow-up release note as soon as HQM and HCAHPS support in Quality Measures and Reviews is ready for your team to test in UAT.
This update applies to Blues plans only and is limited to UAT at this time.

July 28, 2026. Now in Prod: Enhanced Search Cards in Map View & Profile Location Map
We've extended the enhanced search card experience to two additional surfaces: the search results map view and the provider profile page, moving toward a more consistent card experience across all surfaces.
What's New:
Enhanced Cards in Search Map View: When members switch to map view on the search results page, both the collapsed cards and the expanded selected card now use the enhanced search card design, consistent with the list view. The selected card has been consolidated to display a maximum of 2 attributes, matching the mobile card design for improved readability.
Enhanced Card for Selected Location on Profile: The selected or primary location on provider and searched location profile pages now displays using the enhanced card design, with phone number and office hours surfaced in the header.
Interactive Map Replaces "Other Locations" List: The collapsible "Other Locations" card list on the provider profile page is replaced with an interactive map. All of a provider's locations appear as pins, with the current profile location labeled "Current Profile Location" on hover. Enhanced cards display alongside the map and can be expanded for more detail. The standalone map button previously in the upper right of the profile page has been removed.
"In-Person Locations" Rename: The "Other Locations" section on the provider profile page has been renamed to "In-Person Locations" to better distinguish it from Virtual Care.
Virtual Providers: As part of this update, provider profiles now have two distinct location sections, "In-Person Locations" (the new interactive map) and "Virtual Care" (a collapsible card section for virtual care options). Previously, all locations were grouped together under "Other Locations."
New: Enhanced search cards in map view
Before: Selected/expanded card in map view with all attributes shown and scrollable
After: Selected/expanded card in map view with a max 2 attributes, consolidated layout
Before: In-Person Locations shown as collapsible dropdown cards, stacked vertically
After: In-Person Locations shown as an interactive map with enhanced cards alongside, with "Current Profile Location" hover label on the profile pin
Before this update, the map view in search results and the profile page location section displayed older card designs inconsistent with the enhanced search cards already live in the search results list. Members encountered a different visual experience depending on how they were browsing. The "Other Locations" section on a profile also required members to expand individual collapsible cards with no spatial context, and accessing the map required a separate button click. These changes bring a unified, streamlined experience across all surfaces.
These enhancements are auto-on and now in production. These enhancements apply to all profile page types, including provider profiles, hospital pages, urgent care, etc.
